Prayer

Prayer Points

Prayer Points:

Pray for us as we travel to the various venues, asking the Lord to get us there safely, and on time. Sydney roads are increasingly busy causing  delays and frustration.

Plase pray for the Choir Committee as they arrange programmes and take care of all the details that need to be sorted out for a successful presentation. A good deal of this detail falls on our Secretary, David Gordon. He needs our prayer support.

We prayed over long periods for an increase in the 1st Tenor part. God graciously supplied this need in abundance. But now we much need more 1st Basses. Please commit this need to the Lord in prayer.

Gordon Cooke, our Choir Conductor, and Ray Wardle our Deputy Conductor have important roles in the Choir. Please pray for them as they work to get the best from each of us. Pray that all of our men will respond to their conducting by listening and following their lead.

We are blessed to have two accompanists who faithfully play for us each week and at engagements. They have an important role. Pray for their health and playing skills. Judy Bolas and Steve Mayall are our accompanists. Give thanks to God for them.

Give thanks to God for Keith Davidson, our Chairman, and Allan Bolas, our Treasurer as they serve the Choir in background, but vital roles. Give thanks also for the ladies who provide supper at each practice. This is much appreciated by our choir members and is always looked forward to!

We sing a wide variety of music and it can be very easy to keep our heads down in our music rather than watching the conductor. This can make us miss what the conductor wants of us and to fail to express what we’re singing about on our faces. Plase pray about this.

We often sing in residential high care facilities where some residents have less ability to take in what we’re singing about. Ask the Lord to give clarity of thought to our listeners so that the gospel message will break through in the hearts and minds of our listeners.

Ask the Lord to provide the opportunities to sing the praises of our Saviour.

Pray for the health of our choirmen. Only a couple of men down with illness can easily degrade our singing.

We thank you for sharing with us in prayer.
We value your partnership in the Gospel.
